Our newest Member Spotlight is on Sarah! Sarah, hailing from Billerica, is a self-proclaimed corgi & hedgehog enthusiast. Though one of our newest members at CFE, she is already impressing us with her drive!

We asked her some questions. Here’s what she has to say.

Q: Describe your biggest milestone, achievement, or “A-Ha” moment.
A: The first time I was able to step on the box and realized that my short legs do not define me!

Q: What is your favorite CrossFit workout? Favorite exercise/skill?
A:  I have a love affair with backsquatting. I love air squats and I love lifting, so it’s the best of both worlds.

Q: If there were a WOD named after you, what would it have in it?
A:  Rowing, backsquatting, lunges, and situps

Q: What is your favorite cheat meal?
A:  Anything with chocolate in it

Q: How has CrossFit enriched your life outside the gym?
A: I have become someone I have always hoped to be; someone who is confident, has lots of energy, and does not quit.

Q: What is the first word that comes to mind when you hear these words?
A: WOD: Yay!
FRAN: Wut.
BURPEE: I’ll pass
STRENGTH: Push press

Q: What is your favorite quote?
A: “Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle that you know nothing about.”

Q: Do you have any advice for people just getting started or new to CrossFit?
A:  Don’t be afraid! All the people at the gym are kind, regular, everyday people. The coaches will meet you where you are at and will push you to be your best.

A: Be fun and push you to your limits

A: I’m obsessed with corgis and hedgehogs.
