Shannon’s interest in fitness began at Salem State University, where she recently graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Movement Science and a concentration in Clinical Exercise. She was inducted into three honor societies at SSU, including Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Phi Epsilon Kappa Honor Society, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Crossfit became a part of Shannon’s life when she joined the team at CFE as an intern. As she dives into the world of CrossFit, she advocates for the importance of flexibility within the sport as she has extensive knowledge in mobility, range of motion and foam rolling.

Shannon is an ambitious individual and excited to begin her journey into world of health and fitness. Her studious research on the influence of Biofreeze gel on exercise-induced muscle damage led to her first forthcoming publication in ACSM Medicine & Science in Sports and Exercise Journal.

In addition, Shannon is also a figure skating coach at Stoneham Arena, previously skated at the Burlington Ice Palace. She especially enjoys teaching children.

With her passionate, outgoing personality and desire to excel in fitness, we are thrilled to welcome Shannon to our CrossFit family!
